Antaeus
Antaeus is a French black metal band formed in 1993 offering eerie ambient and chaotic black metal.
The group's slogan is "Anti God, Anti Music, Anti You". Their debut album, Cut Your Flesh and Worship Satan, was a collection of re-recorded demo tracks. They then signed to Osmose Productions for second album De Principii Evangelikum, before moving on to the Norma Evangelium Diaboli label for their 2006 album Blood Libels (reissued by Ajna and in 2007 by Season of Mist), which has been described as "aggressive black metal with a pinch (or ten) of death metal thrown in". The album closes with the nine-and-a-half-minute title track, which has been described as "so intense it's literally almost unbearable".
In 2006, they toured in Europe with Secrets of the Moon.
