Monolithe is a French funeral doom metal band, sometimes compared to Shape of Despair. Formed in 2001, it is a solo project of Sylvain Bￃﾩgot from the band Anthemon, using guest musicians on each of the albums. A particularity of this band is that each album consists of only one long atmospheric, depressive song. Even though they are fifty minutes long, they provide an enjoyable atmosphere.
